He attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he was on the track team, and graduated from medical school and completed a residency in internal medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.Dr. Baier joined STPH's Department of Hospital Medicine in 2012 because of the challenge of caring for hospitalized patients and to have the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary care team.
