COVINGTON – St. Tammany Quality Network (STQN) presented its fourth-quarter Medical Director’s award to three member physicians – Drs. Angela Buonagura, Jennifer Daly and Natalie Fitton – in recognition of their leadership in creating a center of excellence at the St. Tammany Health System Women’s Pavilion.

One of only five such facilities in the state to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, the Women’s Pavilion is also a designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology.

The Women’s Pavilion provides all clinical services in one location and has been recognized by Press Ganey for exceptional patient experience. In addition, it is accredited by the American College of Radiology and boasts the latest, leading-edge diagnostic equipment.

“The collaborative efforts of these outstanding physicians to bring state-of-the-art imaging and care to our patients is truly remarkable,” said Dr. Michael K. Hill, STQN medical director. “The staff and physicians provide timely and individualized treatment to all patients.”

Annually, the Women’s Pavilion performs over 22,000 imaging exams and breast procedures.

Drs. Daly and Fitton are board-certified diagnostic radiologists who specialize in breast imaging and intervention. Both have extensive experience in treating complex breast cases. In addition to imaging and breast procedures, Dr. Angela Bonagura, an MD Anderson-affiliated physician in breast surgery, also cares for patients who may be high risk or who need further treatment options.

St. Tammany Quality Network continuously strives to keep the medical and nursing staff at St. Tammany Health System informed of best practices and how to best serve the patients of western St. Tammany Parish.

STQN continuously strives to define and improve the healthcare needs of our community. Promoting wellness is a key component of this quest.
